Welcome to the StevePerry list! We're so glad you've decided to join us. Before you get started with our wonderful family, we need to inform you of some basic guidelines we ask all our members to follow.
Although this list is generally open and unmoderated, we have set up a committee of four moderators (mods) who will step in when necessary in order to keep the peace. Keep in mind, the mods are not referees. We will not take sides in a fight, nor will we get in the middle of one. Rather, the mods are in place to nip potential problems in the bud, and will depend heavily on your own common sense and sense of decency and caring.
The decisions of the mods are final. Our goal is to help this list remain the fun and friendly place it has always been. Please help us by respecting our guidelines. If you have a disagreement with a moderator's action, please take it off list and contact us privately or at StevePerry-owner@yahoogroups.com.
We have set up a FAQ page and a set of List Rules. They can be found by accessing the Links page in Yahoo! Groups or by going to http://steveperry.150m.com/faq.html for the FAQ and http://steveperry.150m.com/rules for the List Rules. We have established these rules based on our experience with this list in its various forms over 3+ years of existence. They are intended to make this a friendly, safe place for friends to chat. Please familiarize yourself with the rules and respect them.
Some of our rules are summarized below. If you have any questions about these rules, please feel free to contact us.
Please remember your fellow list members' feelings, and consider those feelings before sending potentially hurtful posts. You may not always agree with or like your fellow list members, but other people will. Please be courteous and keep disagreements civil and personal problems off the list. The moderators can help settle on-list problems, but we will not get involved in off-list disagreements. We expect our list members to be responsible for handling their own problems.
A violation of the rules will result in a warning from the moderators. First offense will get a warning via private e-mail. Second offense will result in all your posts requiring moderator approval for a period of two weeks. A third offense will ban you from the list.
The following items are examples of what will result in moderator warning. These are only examples. For further information please see the FAQ and/or Rules pages.:
1. Name calling, personal attacks, and other "flames" are not allowed.
2.Threats against list members will not be tolerated in any way, shape or form, and are grounds for being immediately banned from the list.
3. Forwarding of Urban Legends, Virus Hoaxes or other spam is not allowed. If you think you have received a virus warning, you MUST investigate it before forwarding it. Links to investigate Urban Legends and Virus Hoaxes can be found on the FAQ at http://steveperry.150m.com/faq.html. This is an extremely busy list, and while we will allow forwarded jokes, we wish to keep down the proliferation of false Virus warnings and Urban Legends as they unnecessarily cause distress.
-- We can now access list archives through Yahoo! Groups! Just click on the list name in My Groups to access them! These files are only accessible by list members.

-- Please don't send attachments to the list. Instead, you may share files either through private e-mail or by uploading the file to our "Files" area provided by Yahoo! Groups, which is easily accessed by clicking on the list name in My Groups. Please see http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/files for instructions. In the interest of space conservation, files will remain in the "Shared Files" area for 3-6 months, depending on available space.
No Mail
-- For vacationing members! If you're gonna be away a couple of days, rather than run the risk of your list messages bouncing and Yahoo! Groups automatically unsubscribing you, set your account to No Mail/Web Only! You'll still be subbed to the list, but no mail will come. You can do this at My Groups.
